What to Expect

Once you submit a project request (see below), someone from Data For Good will reach out and set up a session. Since we are volunteers the best time of day is during the lunch hour (12-1pm). 

Types of Projects

We focus on projects like reporting, dashboarding, data analytics, GIS, and AI. Our volunteers help turn messy or limited data into actionable insights tailored to your organization’s needs, maximizing the impact of your work.

Project Structure

Projects start by defining the scope and preparing data with your team. We then assemble a volunteer group. Projects typically last 1-3 months.

Roles

We will put together a team that includes both senior and junior resources. The number of team members will depend on the size of the project.

Other than projects, Data For Good also conducts:

• Data Accelerators and training: Multiple organizations can take part in classroom training that includes a project team

• Data Visualization Challenges: Your data can be used as part of a competition, where participants compete to provide insights

• Hackathons: Your data is used by a large group of volunteers to solve a specific problem.
